For the last two thousand years, the Chinese political system explicitly avoids party politics. Officials are shuffled from place to place periodically so that no one can develop personal loyalty in a group or party. Take Xi for example. Xi worked as a government official first in Shanxi, then in central government, then in Fujian province, then in Zhejiang province, then in Shanghai before he finally ascended to the leadership position. This is like a European official who first worked in Poland, then worked in France, then worked in German, then worked in Greece, before he becomes the EU Chairman. This political system ensures that the leader is not in the interest of one location or one group. In ancient China, the one who passed the royal exam is forbidden to run the office in his hometown.

Every politician in the West is supposed for his or her constituency, and every cadre in China is supposed to the interest of the people of China as a whole. Using the western political concept to judge the organization of the Chinese government is a big mistake.

The present political system in China is actually developed during Anti-Japanese-Invasion War. China had tried all kinds of Western political systems. China tried a Constitutional monarchy like the UK in 1898 and failed. China tried republic democracy like the US after the Xinhai Revolution, but China was keeping been invaded by world powers. Why? Because using the western political system means every local is in the interest of itself so to be divided and conquered by the world power. That’s why imperialists today still pushing the western political system to China so to split China into Hong Kong, Taiwan, Xingjiang, and Tibet like Europe is split into different countries. Why does Europe wants an EU and doesn’t want Catalonia to be independent? Because the united market of Europe needs a united political system. Why Brexit? EU is trying to accomplish what Qin Shi Huang had accomplished for China two thousand years ago.

During Anti-Japanese-Invasion War, the Chinese Communist Party developed a democratic political system that united all works of people to fight against the Japanese invasion. That political system works. After the surrender of Japan, many democratic parties got together to discuss how to build the country after defeating Japan. Yet Chiang Kai-shek assassinated many of the leaders of the democratic parties, handpicked representatives of the so-called parliament. In 1946, the communist Yanan government is a democratic government and the Nationalist government is the Chiang Kai-shek dictator government. Chiang Kai-shek waged the civil war because Chiang Kai-shek had an army larger in size and superior in weaponry than the army of Mao. Chinese people supported democratic communist Mao while the US supports the dictator Chiang Kai-shek. The civil war resulted in the Loss of China.

After the civil war, all democratic parties in China supported the leadership of the Communist Party of China. They all participated in the writing of the constitution and later the legislature process in China.

Since 1949, China is facing a hostile world environment, Chinese people remember the century of humiliation and know that only the communist party can safeguard China to development. All parties' support for the leadership of the CPC is a historical result and is still the only viable political system for the development of China. CPC does not fail to the trust of other parties and the Chinese people by leading China into a high-speed development track and ascending China into the center of world politics.

The real situation is that all parties and the majority of Chinese people are satisfied with the present political system. The Chinese political system satisfies Chinese people for their pursuit of happiness.

The Chinese political system is a system of cooperation among all parties. The western political system is a system of competition between different interests. A political party in China is totally different from a political party in the West. We use the same words of “political party” but mean different things in China. Using western theory to frame the Chinese political system is a total mistake. China finds a political system much better than the western political system.
